Coron – Island Hopping C – Malcapuya, or Paradise Does Exist
March 13, 2017
The thirteenth didn't prove unlucky this time. Quite the opposite, in fact. The trip we went on absolutely delighted me.
We chose option C, which cost 1,200 pesos, or about £17, or about 85 PLN. This time, we spent more time on the boat because, although we only visited three places, they were quite far from Coron. On paper, this might seem less attractive than option A. More expensive, and only three islands instead of seven. But what islands they were. If this is what paradise looks like, I'll be converted.
The program included three stops:
Bulog Dos Island
Banana Island
Malcapuya Island
Each of them is different, each of them is beautiful, and Malcapuya It definitely stole my heart. The sand was white as flour, the water was turquoise, and the feeling that you could just stay there.
Our stay on Malcapuya Island was briefly interrupted by wealthy snobs straight out of the Titanic. A luxury yacht arrived, docked nearby, and its passengers were ferried to the beach by dinghy. Champagne flowed freely, and the numerous staff attended to every detail of their comfort. Fortunately, this minor circus couldn't dampen my spirits.
Lunch was included as standard. The vegan option was rather modest, but they always serve fresh fruit, so I made up for it with that. With views like these, you can't complain.
To sum up, the trip was an absolute fairy tale and one of those days after which you know that the decision to come to such a place was a very good one.
