Hi! My name is Baśka. I'm from Poland, but I've been living in London for many years.
I work in finance, but my true passion is traveling. I definitely feel more comfortable on the road than behind a desk.
I travel in a variety of ways. Sometimes alone, sometimes with friends, and sometimes I take organized tours. Most often, these are small-scale trips, especially when I travel to African countries, where local knowledge and good organization really help me reach less obvious places. I enjoy freedom and independence, but I also value safety and the opportunity to see more than just the usual attractions.
I'm interested in places and experiences that transcend the usual norms. I enjoy learning about local rituals, ceremonies, and rites, as they often reveal the most about a place's culture and history. I'm not deterred by things deemed unusual or difficult. I've witnessed cremations in Indonesia and seen hanging coffins in the Philippines, and I treat such experiences as an important part of learning about the world, with respect and curiosity, not detachment.
I've been vegan for many years, though this blog isn't just about veganism. It's primarily a travel blog, open to everyone. However, I always try to share tips that vegan travelers might find useful, as finding good food on the road can still be a challenge in some parts of the world, even if it's getting easier every year.
This blog is a record of my travels, observations, and experiences—both spontaneous and planned. If you're interested in authentic places, local stories, and journeys that offer a deeper dive, there's a good chance you'll find something for yourself here.
