El Nido – Island Hopping B – Snake, Pinagbuyutan Islands, Enatalula Beach
March 22, 2017
Another day in El Nido I decided to spend B on Island Hopping. I was tempted Snake Island and I was very curious if it really looks the same as in the photos.
The trip was a bit more expensive than the previous one and cost 1,300 pesos, i.e. approximately about 20 pounds or 100 zlotys. The moment I boarded the boat, I knew it was going to be a better day. Same size boat, but half as many people. Sounds like luxury.
The price included lunch and stops at:
Snake Island
Entalula Beach
Pinagbuyutan Island
Additional snorkeling
Cathedral Cave
We started at Snake Island and I was hooked. Don't worry, the snakes are only in the name. Crystal-clear water, white sand, and a wooden bar perched in the water serving fresh coconuts. As a total coconut fanatic, at this point, I needed absolutely nothing more to be happy. It's also worth the short hike up the hill, as the view from the top is truly magical.

We had lunch at Entalula Beach. It was traditional, meaning fish, something I don't eat. If you book in advance, you can get rice with vegetables. Nothing fancy, but it's manageable. The pineapples, however, were absolutely fantastic and easily saved the day.

We only sailed up to Cathedral Cave. I'd read that some tours go inside, but we probably ran out of time or the conditions weren't ideal.

The next step was snorkeling, and finally Pinagbuyutan Island. Free time for swimming and total relaxation under the palm trees.

Overall, I consider this trip a resounding success. Few people on the boat, sparse crowds at the rest stops, crystal-clear water, and beautiful beaches. For the price, it's truly worth it.
